Constitution Wins TAP Award
Constitution Elementary School was surprised with the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) Ambassador Award, which comes with a financial prize of $5,000. The award honors a TAP school that has gone beyond its campus to represent the principles of the TAP system and assist others in the state, region and nation.

Constitution has been designated a TAP school starting in the 2011-2012 school year. The federal Teacher Incentive Fund Grant has been awarded to DVUSD led by Arizona State University in coordination with the U.S. Department of Education, Arizona Department of Education, and the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching. The goals of the grant project include increasing student achievement, retaining highly effective educators, and fostering exemplary school culture in the highest-need communities across the state. Nearly $500,000 will be awarded to our school.
