Occupational Therapy
School-based occupational therapy supports students in developing the skills they need to succeed in school and daily activities. We help children improve fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation abilities to participate fully in their educational experience. We hope to support students in feeling confident and capable in the classroom. We focus on:
Fine Motor Skills:
-Improving handwriting and pencil grip.
-Strengthening hand muscles for tasks like cutting, coloring, and using tools.
Sensory Processing:
-Helping to provide accommodations for students to manage sensitivity to sensory input.
-Using sensory strategies to improve focus and attention.
Self-Regulation:
-Teaching strategies to manage emotions and stay calm.
-Building attention and focus skills for learning.
