Special Education

The SPED ( special education) team provides specially designed instruction and individualizes lesson plans. Through content, methodology, and delivery. Our goal is to meet the student's need necessary to help close the academic performance gap between students with disabilities and their general education peers.

With the use of supplementary aids and services, we strive to keep children in the least restrictive environment possible.

We look forward to working with all of the students and are excited to be apart of the Constitution Team!

Meet Ms. Tami Self Contained Teacher

Hi! Everyone calls me Mrs. Tami. This will be my 3rd year here at CE. I started as a Para-Professional and I am now a Special Education Teacher K-6th. I am so excited to be on this adventure with your kiddos. I love being a teacher. It has been a childhood dream of mine. I am married and I have son, Jayden. He is my EVERYTHING!! As a family, we love to travel, listen to country music, watch Coco-melon, and go to places that are not so crowded. My son is a special needs child and prefers calmer places where he can be free to run around and be himself. I look forward to meeting you all.

Meet Mr. Wakeman Resource K-2nd Grade

I am the proud K-2 Special Education Teacher at Constitution. This is my 3rd year as a Special Education Teacher at DVUSD. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I made a career change and found my calling as a Special Education Teacher.

I am married and have 2 kids. I have a son who is a Freshman at NAU and my daughter is a Senior at Sandra Day O'Connor High School. We love the outdoors and spend as much time exploring new places. Any time off you will find me knee deep in a river fly fishing.

Meet Mrs. Mink Resource 3rd & 4th Grade

Hello! My name is Mrs. Mink. I am beyond excited to be working at Constitution! I graduated from Arizona State University with my Master's in Elementary Education. I am the Special Education teacher for grades 3 and 4. My goal is to find the best strategies to help students learn through specially designed instruction. I believe every student is individually creative and able to learn in new and different ways.

Some things I like to do for fun are: going to the lake, playing the claw machine (everything I get goes to the kids, it's a win win), helping animals, and obsessing over sloths. I also love volleyball and punk rock. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I went to Oregon on an athletic and academic scholarship, then transferred to Missouri to continue to play volleyball as an outside hitter. I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree from Missouri Valley College before moving to Arizona. I met the love of my life while going to school in Missouri, and we had the most amazing lake wedding at Bass Lake, CA in July 2024!

Meet Mr. White Resource 5th & 6th Grade

My name is Fredarius White aka Mr. White! This is my first year as a 6th grade special education teacher at Constitution Elementary. I graduated from Bethany College in a small town called Lindsborg, in Kansas, where I played and coached football! I am the older out of 8 siblings! They all live in parts of Texas. I recently had a baby girl name Avery. She was born in 2023 and changed the whole way I do life! I enjoy spending time with her. Our favorite thing to do together is to get outside and explore. If I am not with my daughter, I am playing sports, watching sports, or playing video games!

I am super excited to be a part of the Constitution family and look forward to being your child's 6th grade resource teacher.
