Hello Constitution Elementary Students and Families:
I am Mrs. Miller. I have been an art teacher in the Deer Valley School District for 11 years. I have my Bachelors Degree in Art Education from the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! I have my Highly Qualified K-12 Art Teacher Certification from the AZ Department of Education, and I am also a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner.
In my spare time, I can be found traveling with my husband and our two children in our RV, experimenting with different cultural cuisines in the kitchen and heading to the beach to play in the ocean.
I am extremely passionate about art and helping students develop their artistic abilities and knowledge. This is why I feel that being an art teacher is an amazing adventure. If you have any questions, please call the art studio or email me.

Mr. Assimacopoulos was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He lived there until the age of 5 when his family moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mr. A attended school in Sioux Falls until he graduated from Washington Senior High School in 1989.
Mr. Assiamcopoulos was accepted into the School of Music at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. While at the U of MN he studied classical and jazz saxophone, music education, and conducting. He has played in Wind Ensembles, Saxophone Quartets (both classical and jazz repertoire), University Jazz ensembles and with the Orchestra on several occasions.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Education, Mr. Assimacopoulos worked in Shakopee, MN for 4 years while working towards his Master’s Degree during several summers at VanderCook College of music in Chicago, ILL..
Mr. Assimacopoulos graduated with a Master’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education in 1999. Following his Master’s Graduation, Mr. A. started working at Westwood Middle School in Blaine, MN and continued to educate young musicians for the next 18 years.
Mr. Assimacopoulos has a wife that currently teaches in Glendale and two daughters that attend the New School for the Arts in Tempe, Arizona. His oldest daughter is in 11th grade and is pursuing an acting career while maintaining a dedicated life to dancing in all forms. Eleana is his youngest in 10th grade, loves reading and wants to pursue journalism as a career in high school and college. She has already written several stories and has started 2 novels that are still in the works. Eleana also works hard at competitive cheerleading at California All Starts in Mesa, Arizona.
Mr. Assimcopoulos has relocated to the Phoenix area this last June and is excited to continue his long career in the Anthem School Band Program.

My name is Mrs. Chen, and I have been teaching at Constitution School for seven years. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Music Education from Arizona State University. I am certified by the Arizona Department of Education in K–12 Music, SEI Immersion, and Foreign Language/Mandarin instruction.
I am originally from Taiwan. After graduating from high school, I moved to the United States to continue my college and graduate studies. In my free time, I enjoy playing worship songs, doing body stretches, and spending time with my church community.
My teaching philosophy is to help students build basic music skills, explore their creativity, and enjoy music through fun and age-appropriate lessons.
Hello Everyone, My name is Coach Cooper and this is my 5th year teaching here at Constitution. This is my 21st in education. I have a Bachelors degree from Arizona State University, a Masters degree from Southern New Hampshire, and I am currently working on my Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. I am very excited to be your student P.E. teacher.
In my spare time I like to play, coach, officiate, and watch sports. I also like to travel and see different parts of the world.
With 10 years of teaching experience, and my third year here at Constitution, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. I enjoy working with all the students here at Constitution and encouraging them to participate in regular physical activity. I pride myself on creating a safe and encouraging learning environment for my students, to help create unforgettable moments of fun and allowing all students to be successful. I look forward to this school year and seeing what memorable moments we can create in the P.E.
