Welcome to Speech Therapy at Constitution Elementary School! School-based speech therapists help support students in developing the necessary communication skills needed to succeed within their classroom and school environment. We focus on six main areas which include:

Expressive Language: the ability to convey thoughts, feelings, and ideas through speech, writing, gestures, and other forms of communication.
Receptive Language: the ability to understand and process spoken, written, and non-verbal communication.
Articulation: the ability to produce speech sounds correctly.
Pragmatics: the ability to understand and use language appropriately in various social situations.
Fluency: the ability to communicate using appropriate continuity, smoothness, rate, and effort.
Voice: the ability to communicate using appropriate vocal quality, pitch, and loudness.
